The Nokia 472579A (often listed as 472579A.101) is a telecom-grade SFP+ optical module built for use in Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent network equipment. It uses an 850 nm VCSEL transmitter and PIN photodiode receiver over multimode fiber (MMF), with duplex LC connectors, supporting data rates from about 1.228 Gbps up to ~10.138 Gbps and transmission distance of up to ~300 m on OM2 MMF. It supports digital diagnostic monitoring (DOM/DDM), runs off +3.3 V supply, and is rated for standard commercial temperature (0 °C to 70 °C). It’s ideal for upgrading or maintaining high-capacity optical links in base-station/fronthaul applications where multimode fiber and short to medium distances apply.
