The Finisar FTLX1811M3 is a high-performance 10GBASE-ER SFP+ optical transceiver engineered for long-distance 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications. Operating at a 1550 nm wavelength, it supports transmission distances of up to 40 km over single-mode fiber (SMF), making it ideal for metro networks, inter-building connectivity, and enterprise backbone links.
This module uses a high-power EML/DFB laser transmitter and a sensitive APD/PIN receiver to ensure stable optical performance over extended distances. It is hot-pluggable, operates on a standard 3.3 V power supply, and is compliant with SFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3ae standards for seamless interoperability with network switches, routers, and NICs.
